The road to recovery has moved over to the slow lane. We're back to one step at a time. The MRI showed that the damn tumor has come back. The chemo did not have any effect on it. The Doctor's were surprised at this result. The good news though is that this is a nodule from the original tumor and not a new development. The Tumor Board at UCSF will meet this Thursday and Steve's case will be reviewed by approximatley 20 Doctors to see what the best protocal will be to fight this bugger (or any other bad word you'd like to interject).
Steve looks and feels great and has no symptoms from the new growth. He gets stronger and cuter (and more board) each day. And for those of you who have always thought he dyed his hair and were jealous of his black head of hair, the new stuff is coming in grey. So we're in a holding pattern ready to start the next leg of our journey. Keep the good thoughts and prayers coming our way, they've done well for us so far.
